Digital X-Rays

Dental X-rays are pictures of teeth, bones and soft tissues surrounding them to aid our doctors in evaluating hidden dental structures that cannot be visually determined.

At DP Dental, we strive to provide our patients with the highest quality dental care. Our doctors employ state-of-the-art technologies to enhance our patients' experience. We use one of the latest digital X-ray system - SIRONA ORTHOPHOS XG 5 and VISTASCAN for clear and rapid investigation for single tooth or full mouth format using minimum dose of radiation.

Localised 2D dental X-rays may be taken of your teeth to check for:

  • Decay inside the tooth or between the teeth
  • Abscess or cysts on the roots of your teeth
  • Root positions
  • Bone loss

2D panoramic (full-mouth) X-rays, on the other hand, show a broad view of the jaws, teeth, sinuses, nasal area, and temporomandibular (jaw) joints. These X-rays show problems such as impacted teeth (e.g. wisdom tooth), bone abnormalities, cysts, solid growths (tumors), infections, and fractures.

 Full Mouth X-ray

When necessary, our doctors may also recommend the patient to take a 3D X-ray for better prosthetic and surgical planning, especially for implant treatment.

 3D X-ray

Unlike conventional 2D X-rays, the 3D digital X-rays allow our doctors to carry out cross-sectional examination of the bone and facial structures, enhancing both diagnostic and planning capabilities.
