Inman Aligner

Inman Aligner

Straight teeth. Fast.

Inman Singapore

The Inman Aligner is an appliance ideally suited to the front teeth only. It works to move front teeth into place in as quickly as 6-16 weeks. Although the Inman Aligner is one of several options for straightening crooked or misaligned teeth, it is not suitable in cases of overcrowded teeth or the alignment of entire arches.

The Inman Aligner is a removable appliance, it relies on forces created by a coiled spring on the lingual side of the aligner (on the inside or back of the teeth), and a bar that sits across the front of the teeth to “squeeze” the teeth into position by “pushing” and “pulling” them into position. Patient compliance is crucial in the success of this treatment; ideally, patients should aim to wear the Inman Aligner for 20 to 22 hours a day.

Typically 6-16 weeks. Simple cases can complete in a little over a month and more complex cases may take 4 months or so. Our experienced doctors will give you a realistic guide of what to expect.

What are the benefits?

Benefits include:

  • Easy removal of brace for eating, cleaning, and/or during photographs
  • Only one aligner is needed for the entire treatment
  • Quicker results than conventional braces

What are the limitations?

Limitations include:

  • They are only suitable for problems with the front teeth, they are not advisable for overcrowded teeth or for correcting entire arches.

  • Less movement of the braces as compared to Invisalign or other clear braces.
  • Not suitable for children.

Will treatment with the Inman Aligner be uncomfortable?

Just like any new appliance in your mouth, it may feel uncomfortable at first and will take some getting used to. Many patients say that it initially affects their speech and causes them to salivate more, but after about a week or so you should become accustomed to wearing the Aligner.
